"Your script closely adhered to the historical facts and timeline, and proved to be very entertaining. It brought to life the prominent characters of an amazing period of growth and prosperity in Kingston, and will provide a basis for discussion of the main players of that time. The Friends of Historic Kingston is appreciative for your considerable effort and success in "Bringing Kingston's History Alive!" Peter Roberts, President Friends of Historic Kingston
"Eighth-grade Wallace Wildcats were treated to a visit from Edgar Allan Poe on Wednesday morning, thanks to a one-man show by Frank Marquette's Theatre on the Road company. Eighth graders begin their school year by learning about gothic literature, which includes many of Poe's works like "The Tell-Tale Heart", "The Black Cat", "Annabel Lee," and many others. Details about Poe's life were sprinkled in between dramatic readings of several works read aloud to them by "Poe" himself during the assembly."
Tanya Kidd, Thomas Wallace Middle School, Vineland, New Jersey
"Thanks so much for all the research, creativity and theatricality you put into Poe's Last Mystery. We've had very positive response." Jewel Ratzlaff, Director, Poughkeepsie Library District
"Edgar Allan Poe's return to West Point Military Academy after a 185 year absence was a spectacular event. Frank Marquette brought Poe to life and our alumni association and special guests were treated to an afternoon that was uplifting, dramatic and witty. We didn't expect so much audience interaction and a high level of fine acting." - Nicole Vitale, Special Events Director, West Point Military Academy, West Point, New York
"I was really impressed by the coordinator and information given. I feel like I gained new skills in regards to playwriting especially regarding mystery literature." - Micheal Renga, Glen Cove High School, Glen Cove, New York
"I enjoyed the agenda in Frank Marquette's workshop. I found it to be engaging AND informative. By having us write our own murder mystery it was easy to briefly touch upon how the writing elements we were doing corresponded with actual interactive theater. There were constant ideas about how the scene or act we created could have audience bits or engagement. I found out a lot of general information that I didn’t know about how this type of performing works and it was very interesting as someone who’s never seen or been in this form of acting." - Julia Cristiano, Broadway Dance Academy, Massapequa, New York
"The most fun I’ve had at a workshop. Really unlocked the writing process in an engaging way." - Gavin McGinnis, Minisink Valley High School, New York
"Very interactive, very engaging, and overall very fun." - Kasey Sartoris, Franklin Delano Roosevelt HIgh School, Hyde Park, New York
"Frank, how can I thank you enough? You went above and beyond to bring Poe to life for our Big Read participants. It has been a pleausre to work with you!" - "Jewel Ratzlff, Public Information Officer, Poughkeepsie Public Library District
